What a Snore!
Tuesday, May 13th, 2008Ok, we’ve all been there. The plane takes off - looks like a smooth ride ahead. I’ll plan to get some work done, watch a movie and grab a quick nap. But then, what’s that noise? It sounds like a tractor, but how? At 35,000 feet up? Oh, it’s that big guy across the aisle. He’s snoring and I bet even the captain can hear him in the cockpit. So, please tell me, what’s the proper plane etiquette? I can’t bring myself to give the guy a nudge, but I know all my neighbors in the rows around me are feeling the same thing. Everyone keeps looking over and rolling their eyes. Am I allowed to ask the flight attendant to knock the drink cart against his chair? Or accidentally chuck my pillow across the aisle? Perhaps we just let the poor guy rest in silence, even though it’s disrupting the peace of the rest of the aircraft? What would you do if this is the guy sitting next to you?
