Sunday, April 6th, 2008Today’s a travel day, from Israel back home to Florida via JFK.
Yesterday I was walking on ancient stones in the walled city of old Jerusalem and visiting the old Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem; six hours later I was on a modern Boeing heading across the Atlantic. In less than 24 hours I’ll have gone from the palm trees of Israel to the palm trees of Florida.
I know we’re used to this sort of thing these days, but still….pretty miraculous, isn’t it? Not just covering the miles, but covering millennia in a flash. Wow.
