A few years back, when I worked for a local newspaper, I wrote a column about fountain Coke. Then a handful of convenience stores which I frequented asked me to test their soda fountains. Soon, I was actually tinkering with the inner workings of the machine, adjusting the carbonation levels etc. I guess I was a free-lance CCO. If only I could have profited from this (other than the free Cokes) by working it into a full-time high-paying gig.
