Views of Vail Cascade
Sunday, December 23rd, 2007In the Dec. 18 edition of eFlyer, I reviewed the Vail Cascade Resort in Vail, Colo. I wanted to add some more info and images, so here goes.
I visited before ski season, and I’m not a skier, so I forgot to mention something that’s meaningful to skiers–there is a lift right on the property. Plus ski lockers near the lift for all guests, so that you don’t have to tote your ski equipment back and forth. The hotel also provides courtesy transportation to other lifts and into Vail Village for nightlife, shopping, etc. (only a couple of minutes’ drive).
Here are some pictures that illustrate my visit. This one is a typical guestroom:
And this one is the patio you can see through the door in the back:
Here’s a look at the entrance to the Vail Cascade Resort Village:
If you read the review, you can tell I really enjoyed the place, and I can only imagine how neat it must be in the height of the snowy winter ski season. Plus the restaurant, Chaps, is terrific; there will be more about that in the January 8 eFlyer and that week’s blog!
